Madvetter,

Rick is quite a way from where you will be heading. The point where we met last year was about two hours from Avon and his dealership is slightly north and about 30 minutes west of me. If you chose, I can certainly meet you at his dealership, but it will be a fair amount out of your way He has a great setup at his dealership. He is the king of Corvettes in Northern Ohio. I am not sure if he literally means he is flying on Friday. There is no flight into Bowling Green unless he has his own plane. I talked with Rick a few weeks ago. I am getting an Impala SS for a company car and his dealership was nice enough to let me look at one.

Yeah, I guess that would be a LITTLE bit out of my way ( by about 2 hours ). Thanks for the offer though Rick

Hey Mike, how are ya? I was wondering when you were going to chime in here

Last year was kind of a cluster so I'm hoping we can figure out some better plans.

from all the posts on both threads, here's a list started of who's going:

Red Kelly-Ontario
Madvetter-Macomb, MI
vettemann7-Ann Arbor, MI
Old Red-OH
my Z06-Toledo, OH
bigcat-Columbus, OH
blkZ06-South Bend, IN

sooo...looking at the locations of everyone, how did it run last year? looks like if Red starts the caravan, then picks up the MI folks, then me, and we meet up with the OH Z06's and head into BG via Northern KY.....

any other thoughts?

cool.....
I know a lot of folks should go..it's fun to support the car & the museum!

I am flying out early Friday morning and back late saturday night.wish I could drive it instead, but have a lot going on at work where I would not be abel to enjoy the trip...so flying makes it all come together

Leslie, I would hopw more people would join in. my Z06 said he gets off work at 7 AM. If Madvetter is set on deaprting 5:30 or 6 AM, he'll have to get off work early or miss the caravan.

No problem for him, you ain't seen how fast I drive Seriously though, that was just the time that worked out the best last year.

Red Kelly- we should probably decide where we are going to meet up first and that might help us with a time

Does everybody have 2-way radios

Madvetter, if you want to depart between 5:30 and 6:00 am I'll stay the night somewhere in MI. Let me know which route works best for you and I'll book a hotel off that highway exit.

I have two of the Cobra4 radio's. As long as someone esles has these or something with similar channels the Cobra's will work.

My old tripkit from last year showed us going 696 to 96 to 94 and then going to 69 at Marshall. This route worked good last year- smoother roads (around Detroit ) and less traffic too.
We take 94 to 696 from our house.
I'm not sure how familiar you are with this area.
