Central Texas Caravan

i know this is early, but i have been talking with case and a couple of others who expressed interest in a caravan. how about giving this some thought: we pick a point (somewhere in northeast texas) and people from houston, san antonio and austin meet and drive into bg from there. i know i usually go I30 to I40 and in. that may not be the best way, but i am flexible. i am hoping some of the folks from highspeeddriving.com (randi and don---maybe gordy) will come down from nevada and missouri to join up with us. if anyone is interested, please post and let's start working out the details. knowing us texans, it will take a month anyway we could have a blast.

jack

At 130mph I'd need to stop for fuel every hour!
Other than that, maybe we can hook up in the DFW area??

I'm leaning toward trailering this year. I want to get a little more aggressive at the drag strip.

Ok, does anyone want to step up and take charge of the TX caravan? Do you want to do it Jack Clark? I am from way down south TX as you can get, so I will need to plan a little earlier than the rest of you. We all need to decide on a meeting point and time.

I guess that makes me interested also!
I was planning on meeting up with Randi (BlackWidow) in Flagstaff, as she took the southern route to BG and meeting with Jack somewhere in TX!
I'll keep a watch since I'm probably the only AZ person coming to the Fest. Some people have families to feed and kids to put through school and stuff? I'm Done!!

Thanks for the heads up!
Ken

I'm flexible on where to meet. From some previous posts, It looks like some are wanting to meet in Dallas area, and drive up I-30 to I-40 and in to meet up with others. Either way is good with me.

I now have a kitchen pass and will be leaving from the DFW area on Tuesday (20th) morning. However, I'm planning to going the whole way there on Tuesday. Is anyone else going from Dallas who wants to make it a day trip? Last year I left Flower Mound at about 8:30 AM and arrived in BG at approximately 7:00 PM (750 miles in 10.5 hours, not too bad ). Anyone else up for this?
