Kansas City Caravan

I guess it's not tooooo early to get this ball rolling!!!

We have reservations at the Hampton for Tuesday through Saturday.

Planned on leaving Kansas City early Tuesday morning and being in St. Louis between noon and 1:00pm.

We can hook up with folks from the west (Colorado) on Monday evening to get an early start on Tuesday.

We can hook up with folks in St. Louis (or from parts north)at noon on Tuesday for lunch and the trip south.

That is at least my plans at this point!! I'm sure they will change several times as we get closer.

LET'S GET 'ER DONE !!!!!

Steve

Hey Steve,
I pretty much have the same plan. We are also at the
Hampton tuesday thru saturday. My friend Tom (tszwec)
from Yuma,AZ is driving up here from Yuma on the 15th, and we plan on leaving for KC early monday morning and hooking up with Norm monday night when we get to KC. I am also hoping that more members from CO will go to the fest and hook up with us also. (maybe Ted Pennington and RalphP)
Glad you posted this, maybe it will get more people interested in going with us! Sounds like a GOOD plan!

Jim

OK Folks!!

Thought I'd bring this thread back to the front page.

Calling all Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois folks.

I think the main tribe will be looking to get into Bowling Green sometime on Tuesday afternoon, so we can get tanked up and leave for Nashville and DE on Wednesday morning.

That probably means leaving KC early on Tuesday morning, and going through St. Louis, with a pickup there, around lunch.

Chime in and let's see if we can get this party started;

"tanked up"? You are referring to gasoline, right?

Steve and Tam,
My daughter and I and my bro Tom from Yuma will be joining you and Norman in KC. I don't know if any other CO members are going to come. I know Ralph P from Denver will be out of the country at the time of the fest, but maybe some other CO members will decide they want to have a
great time and join us. Sure hope so, that would be cool!
I am chomping at the bit wanting July to get here in a hurry!
I know you guys are too.

Hey guys-

I plan on joining in if you'll have me again! No drag radials this year, so let the games begin. Should be a great time now that Jim has his car tuned and modded. I am also trying to recruit some rookies so we have someone to wait on us!

Toll Booth speed challenges are the best. However, I don't want none of Jimbo Lembo this year.

Keith, the caravan down is an absolute blast. Please find a way to come with us.

2 way radios, bad jokes, an occasional romp just slightly over the speed limit, nonstop speed challenges away from every toll booth. Watching Brian going sideways in the rain at 80 mph due to his drag radials.

...lessee, how long would it take to get from LA to CO?

Dang, if I had more time I would consider it... ...actually, Adam('s Polish) suggested "throwing" the Z in the back of his trailer, and we truck it down to Bowling Green. Oooh the temptation... ...we could bring lots of goodies...

Under four weeks and counting !!!

Looking to head out of KC around 7:00am on Tuesday morning, reach St. Louis around 11:00 or so.

Hookup with folks in St. Louis (or points north, BBunting)and have lunch.

Head to Bowling Green around 1:00pm and get to the Hampton Inn around 6:00 pm

ANyone or everyone want to meet Monday night for dinner somewhere in KC or Lees Summit ??
