Kansas City to Bowling Green, KY…
We are departing east of town...this way everyone is heading out and nobody has to backtrack.
There is an Amoco/BP 200yards north of 50Hwy at 291Hwy South or also called South Jefferson Street. The gas station is across from Harris Memorial Park. We will depart from the gas station at 7:00. (be full and ready to go). Those of you out of towners I will lead you out of town to the gas station.
Those wanting breakfast:
Hardee's the exit before the gas station at 50Hwy and 3rd Street.
Perkins Restaurant the exit after the gas station at 50Hwy and SE Hamblen Road.
We will take 50Hwy to Jefferson City and then up to I70 at Kingdom City. This will bypass 30 miles of construction on I70.
East of St. Louis (Belleville, IL)
11:30 a.m. and 275 miles later, we will stop for gas/food and I will be picking up a friend of mine. KCMags will need to let us know if he can make it 275 miles on a tank of gas with his supercharged Z06. My software computed 11:30 a.m. averaging 65mph so we could get there a little earlier :-)
Stoping for 30 minutes, we make it to the NCM parking lot by 4:30 p.m. (again driving the legal speed limits). We should be able to make up some time, allowing for additional stops along the way.
There is a chance MikesZ06 will leave Wednesday morning with us pulling his Z06.
Comments/Suggestions are welcome....
Paul, I will not be joining the KC caravan as I will be trailering the Z down early on the 9th to assist in preparations for the the fest.
Last year, I went 1-70 to St. Louis, took the southern loop around town to I-64 east through Mt Vernon. Got off right above Evansville (can't remember, 41south or something like that) to Pennyrile Pkwy (only a few miles on that pkwy), east on Audubon Pkwy to Green River Pkwy then south right into BG. Didn't have any real traffic probs and the drive through Ill and Ky was real pretty. I'll most likely use the same route this year as well.
Just an option for you. Sounds very similar to your first option.

My wife and I are planning to drive up to Raymore where her grandparents live Tuesday night and head out Wednesday morning, so we would be interested. How about a quick meet and greet Tuesday night for dinner for everyone headed there?

It's still happening! I'm going to call them today to work out some type of reservation. What time do you plan on getting to KC? If you can make an earlier time let me know. The food is BBQ. I believe that the ribs there are the best that I've ever tried. We've just got back from Tablerock lake in the Ozarks and have set the countdown timer for BG
Looks like the wife will be riding with me after all , we are planning on leaving here around 6:00 AM or so on the 9th and plan on being in the KC area around 4 or so, but that will be 5 or so KC time
So anytime after 6:30 is cool with us, let me know
