Kansas City and merging caravans

Just wanted to see if any of the KC folks were up for a caravan as they did last year. This time I'm going to be a part of it.

Glad you can make it this year!

We had planned on leaving on Tuesday if there was enough people going then. Could just as easy leave on Wednesday.

Currently have reservations for Tuesday thru Saturday.

May want to see if we can hook up with the guys in St. Louis as we pass thru.

If you don't mind me asking,when would you guys be passing through St.Louis?

The route we took last year was through St. Louis (we picked up a passenger there) over towards Evansville and then down to Bowling Green.

If I recall right it was about 700 miles or so.

May not have been the most scenic route, but was all interstate and fairly good roads, other than I70 to St. Louis.

Don't know whether that will be the route this year (may have to pick up the same passenger) or look for something more scenic and twisty.

We'll have to plan a strategy session and see what the consensus of opinion is and what days everyone wants to travel on.

I'm dropping down south to meet up with sujimo going to BG but will probably go home the short way - through St Louis, KC, etc. When will you leave BG? Perhaps I can tag along as far as St Louis. Have friends that live there and am going to stop for dinner.

We had some leave on Saturday and the rest left on Sunday. Left early Sunday morning and got back to KC at 6-8:00 that night. Probably hit St. Louis around 2-3:00.

Does the St. Louis Caravan have any plans yet?

KC guys, when is everyone leaving?

Tam and I plan on leaving early on Wednesday morning, and getting to Bowling Green 5:00-6:00 that night. Coming back on Sunday around the same time.

Maybe we need to get together some night and do a little planning?

Thoughts? Plans? Ideas?

Leaving Wed morning is the plan for me. Let's do it. I mean, get er done. hahaa At this point, I'll be a sole driver in my car so I don't know how often you guys stop. I need a co-driver. hahaa Oops. I meant to say Co-pilot.

Hey, I'd even open up my place for a social gathering the night before if that works out. Last year we met at Fiorella's Jack Stack on Metcalf. That was fun.

PS. I can leave any time after Tuesday afternoon around 6pm.

Same here Norman, anytime after 5:00 or 6:00 on Tuesday night is OK by me. It was only about a 10 hour drive or so last year. We stopped in St. Louis to pick up a guy and got lunch, but other than that the only stops were gas.

We've got a couple of radios as well.

I am planning on staying in or near KC on the night of the 20th. If anyone wants to caravan the rest of the way to BG on wednesday that would be great. Post here or PM me anytime. I have a set of 2-ways and an empty seat!

We have reservations at the Hampton from Wednesday night through Saturday Night, returning sometime on Sunday.

Early Wednesday morning sounds good to me!
