Who's going
What day you leaving
Where you leaving from
Where do we meet
Lets get the party started.
I'm curious....is it easier to meet up with the NE gang at the usual spot (where 81 meets up with 70 going to Morgantown)? Or is there a better way going through Va.?
And when is the NE Caravan coming down? I mean what day?
Bob, I can leave either day also. Looks like the North East group will meet at noon on Tue in West Virginia. If we want to hook up with them, we need to plan accordingly.
I was thinking of heading out tuesday morning (20th) about 5:00am and taking beltway to 66 west to 81 and then south to 64. Then up to Charleston and over to Hurricane.

Mike,
I am thinking along similar lines, but probably leaving about 3 AM from Philly. Since I am thinking of leaving so early, would it make sense to swing down 95 and then over (similar to your route) then drive the turnpike out to 81 and then down?

Tom...doesn't 81 come out of Pa. from Reading? Or are you further east?

I am about an hour east from Philly (right on the NJ/PA border) - 20 minutes above where 95 crosses the state lines. In driving out to 81, I end up going west on the PA turnpike for about 90 minutes. I was thinking it would be better to cut down 95 and cross over - especially if I am leaving in the middle of the night.

I'm just wondering how much time from when you hit 81 down to Va.? It takes me about 11/2 hours from home to reach 81 going out 66. I'd say 6 hours from my house to charleston, wva.
