I'll be there!

I may skip Morgantown and spend Monday night in Charleston. Get up, scrape the bugs off the Z, meet for lunch, and kill a few billon more (bugs) on the way to BG.

I will hook up with the caravan at the Chevy dealer on Tuesday. What time should I get there? I will drive from No. VA on Tuesday morning. This should be the first open road trial for my new GPS navigation system.

The apparel thread says(Mdickie) that the Z06vette.com will probably not be available till after Z06fest. If you mean apparel you will buy at the museum store you are good to go.

Tuesday is my travel day as well ... I'd like to hook up with you, Don and some of the other folks of the MD persuasion. Gotta figure time and distance to Charleston and pick a treftpunkt (meeting place).
Caveat: ATT it's all go ... but if health and care issues for my wife's parents (living with us) go south in a hurry, then some bets are off.
Mapquest shows a little over 5 hours Denny to get to Joe Holland Chevrolet. I guess I will be getting up early to meet for lunch. The route for me seems to be 32 to 29 to 70 to 68 to 79/77 to 64 into Charleston. So let me know if you want to meet along the way. Ed let me know what time you are rolling through the Maryland area. I think you have my cell number but just in case PM me and I will give it to you so we can meet up with you.

Don ... sounds like a plan.
Mike: See caveat in my post above.
Hopefully things will clear up for me.
I'm planning to run 70 to 68 to 79 out of Frederick.
It's 316 miles to Charleston for me. Figure 5 hours.
Ed: Mapquest sends Northern VA the same route, but are you going out 64 instead?

I think it is better to go east on I-66 then south on I-81 to west on I-64 to I-77 to Charleston. That is the way I came back from the 2003 Fest.

Ed,

where do you suggest a good meet point would be for Denny, Mike, and me to hook up with you in route to Charleston? What time were you planning on leaving?

It depends on what time WVPHOTO says we meet/eat at the chevy dealer. I backplan the time from that and add and hour for screwups/construction enroute. I have travelled the route to I79 on my way to Cincinnati for about 15 years. You are going north and west before you head south. Coming south then around the beltway to I-66 I think would be better since we will be travelling before traffic builds up. If so we can meet along I-66 and coordinate linkup by cell phone.

Well that is the way I am going to Charleston. I have driven the I81 route going to my inlaws cabin in NC multiple times without issues. There are alot of trucks on both paths, this is America there are trucks on our major interstates. If you guys like the other way go for it there are three of you.

Ok so we are talking 66 west. how much time does it take you to hit 66 Ed? For me it's about a half hour or so with little traffic. Tuesday morning early should not be a problem.

I would like to get the most Z brothers we can get in formation. So everyone think about it and post up.
