Hope you guys have a good trip. I really enjoyed traveling with the NE Caravan two years ago when there were 13 of us.
I'm leaving Sunday for Pigeon Forge, TN and meeting my brother speed220mph and then will head up to Bowling Green on Wednesday.
I had to have my left fender taken off and painted due to a jacking accident but it looks as good as new. You'll know me by the black wheels and I've added red chevrons to the left fender.

OK ... looks like meeting times and places are jellling.
Fingers crossed ... all is a go at this time for Maggi and me.
Since I live on the north side of Frederick, I will stage vic Frederick and pick you folks up on 70W as you clear Frederick (I'll give you the mile marker)
I will PM Ed and Don my cell phone # ... so someone can call me when you roll onto 270 from Criswell. About 20 minutes up to 70 from there.
I assume we're all are leaving with a full tank and that should take us to Charleston, WV stop. It's ~ 315 miles from the 270/70 interchange.
Coffee will compel a potty break about two hours in to drive.
I'll bring 2 walkie-talkie's (5 mile range, FCC licensed) and can pass one to another car on the first stop. Anyone else? What Channel? We usually use 12 or 13 when caravanning.
Will we have a radar car up front?
I'll pick up rear unless we have more than 6 cars. In that case we want a brighter color car in rear so we can see tail.

I know the route from Washington to Bridgeport WV like the back of my hand as I have driven that route at least 120 times while visting my sons in CIncinnati. Bridgeport WV (south of Morgantown) is almost exaclty 4 hours at an average speed of 60 mph. We can refuel there and eat a early lunch if we like. It is approximately 2 hours to Charleston. 4 + 2 equals six hours and does not account for non travel time for fuel and food. So that gets us late into the noon hour at the chevy dealer and they would like to leave around 1300. This plan does not build in any extra time for construction delays/ accident delays, potty stops etc. Granted we will travel at a slightly faster overall rate it still gets us into Charleston with very little slack. Since this involves connecting with another group it is important that we show up on time. IMHO comments ?

Ed ... Mike (WVPhoto) says Joe Holland has lunch for us there, so we should only need a pit stop. If range allows us to fuel close to or at Charleston, will we be able to make BG on the second tank?
