American Racing Headers- GP (before the price increase)

This will be the last time I can offer these at such a low price.
A substantial price increase will be coming shortly.
I have 1 7/8 and 1 3/4 systems with metal matrix cats and 3" x pipe in stock. (deduct $175 with catless x pipe)
The price will be $1450 shipped. That's $100 plus the shipping cost off the regular price that will be going up at least another $100 shortly.

Coating is available at $300 a set. It takes me about 3 days to get them coated.
I can do the standard shiny ceramic or "grey ice" That's a satin grey coating that's actually more efficient than the ceramic but doesn't have the silver shiny look.
I need ten sets to make this work.
I'm running the same deal in C6, so any combination of C5 and C6 headers to make ten sets will do it)

Put me in for a C5 1 3/4" system. What's the price for local pick up? Also cost for your shop to install on an 03Z?

Thanks,
Michael

Hi Andy,
Also, does the AR system (with cats) come with everything needed for a self-install (O2 wiring extensions, gaskets, etc)?

Thanks for the tempting offer - Christmas may be coming early.

Better think twice before you put out the dough for headers on your C6Z, Keith.
I like the American Racing Headers a lot but they haven't picked up any more real top end hp than the LG LT's have, and frankly neither have shown results worth the bucks.

I do like the fit and finish on the ARH's, but still not worth spending that much for minimal gains (on the C6Z, that is).

Thanks Mike....I've got to stop this impulse buying. I heard the silver car picked up next to nothing with the LG's so he ended up buying the ARH. Dynod at MCR???? What did it make???

Shawn's Z picked up 2 rwhp at the top end with the LG's and 4rwhp with the ARH's.
Both headers increased the torque by 15 to 20 and a little more mid range hp but nothing significant to speak of.

Both of these are after tuning of course. Initially, both headers lost power after the install.

The LG's were without cats and the ARH's were with their hi-flow cats (pretty neat looking, they almost looked like pup cats when I first saw them).

I had high hopes for the ARH's. I was seriously thinking about adding them to my C6 if they added some significant power. They look real sharp and I suspect they would do very well on a C5.

I ordered mine yesterday and DIDN't get the discount! What's up with that?
Maybe I misunderstood, did we have to get ten people first, then order?????
I even wrote on the comment sheet accompying the order that I wanted to participate in the sale, hmmm...

Every order that comes in on the internet will be changed to reflect the discount.
I even had a couple of orders come through where the customer didn't even know about the sale. I emailed them to let them know they'd saved $100. Obviously that was a nice surprise.
As for power output? I'll find some dyno graphs of ARH installs.
I've seen up to 40RWHP gains. Obviously that's with tuning but I doubt it's all tuning.
With any sort of cam change, the headers are pretty much mandatory.

I'm sure mine was an oversight, but the reciept showed a charge of $1550 for the headers. I didn't get the email if one was sent to me. Again. I'm sure this must just be some sort of clerical error, nothing else.

Actaully the website showed $1550 but your card was only charged $1450, $24.99 for the CAGS harness and $17 each for the OE steel gaskets you requested. ( The ones supplied are composite)
I think that is correct. Let me know if not.
Thanks, Andy

BTW: I had 9 sets in stock but they are all gone.
I sent the CAGS and gaskets to you yesterday and the headers are being drop shipped from ARH.

Thank you Andy,

I thought it would be something like that! It threw me off because ov the emailed receipt I got which reflected the full price, not the price you actually charged me. No worries, life is good, SC is on for this spring, then the forged stroker short block, then the...
