Best shifter knob and why?

I want to change the shifter knob on my car and was wonder which one you recommend I get? It is hard to decide online when you don't have it in your hand. I use to have a 300ZX and am use to holding it from the side.

I like MGW's knobs. Can't beat the combination of great looks and great prices.

You can find them on the internet.

I had a MOMO Cobra, it was nice, but somehow I ended up liking the stocker the best.

MGW " Gripper". Great feel with rubberized inset, and beautifully crafted. Nice choices of finish, but it'd sure like one with a "Z" logo on top.

While we're on the subject, why do some companies charge 80-100 for a stinkin' shift knob? MGWs are less than $50, and easily as high quality.

I put the Stock knob on my BPP shifter. I like the feel either top or side shifting.

I posted the same question. Here's a link to my replies

I noticed you're in AZ. I had the MGW on a Hurst and liked it until the summer time. Too hot. Switched to a Momo carbon/rubber/leather unit and have been very happy with that.

Thanks for the advice.

Turbolisa thanks for addressing the AZ heat issue, I was concerned about that.

I tried a bunch of them and went back to stock.

I hate the pistol grip type knobs the most.

Mine does get a wee bit warm in the summer, BUT I rarely park in the direct sunlight, if ever.

I do like the feel & looks of this one.

JT--I thought I did something original by putting a Z06 emblem on my ashtray console door... ...until I saw that pic you had posted. Fits great there, huh?

As DJ said, I use the plain jane Delrin Harbar. Works for me on the track. Not exactly T1 legal, but don't think any T1 racer is going to protest me over a shift knob...
I have used it in the heat of the SE and it gets hot, but is still touchable.

This shift knob is carried at the Corvette Store, a supporting vendor.
