This one would be the easiest to install, just pull the old air box off and stick this one on in it's place.

If you need any help let us know.

I tried to send mail but it won't allow it through the z06vette.com system.

Email me and I'll be glad to send you some install info .

Does this require the stock air shroud or does it replace it completely?

Unfortunately, after I purchased my used 2002 Z06, i found out the deceptive loser who previously owned it installed a stock c5 air box before trading it in... So do I need anything else for the Blackwing installation like an 02 Z06 airbox or a modified air shroud??

Thanks for all your help...

Woosh: When are we all meeting up again? Your help is always greatly appreciated...your the best! Did you get your lines installed yet?

BTW, would the Vortex Ram Air Intake be a better performer??

And do I need to purchase a power duct for optimum performance or is stock fine?

Sorry for all the beginner questions, Im slowly learning all this stuff...

No need for any shroud with the BW...that's all you need.

Yes, the Vortex is a better performer because of cooler air.

Please email me and I'll be glad to send you some information.

Whoosh:

Which do you think I should go with the Blackwing or the Vortex? Despite the more involved installation of the Vortex, it just seems logical that this would be the most benefical design of all of the induction systems I have seen thus far. And it is not that far away in price from the blackwing...

If I had to do over I would get the Vararam...

The Vortex may be ok but if you search intakes here on the forum I think more people are going with the vararam.

The BW is the easiest and simplest design, and from what I've read a nice increase in performance over stock. So even better for you since your air box is totally wrong.

Bryan and I had a last minute shop day last Friday and I got the lines installed, haven't been able to really test them yet with all this rain we've been getting.

When you decide on an intake and are ready to put it on let us know and we'll figure out a day to help get it installed.
