It happened to me last May 28th, the dreaded steering column lock Since it's not a recall and the only cars immune are those with the Column Lock Bypass Kits and the '01 Automatic LS1 cars, we carry this product to end the worry and give us all a little piece of mind

If it happened May 28, it was not on a Z. How many Z owners have had problems with the column lock?

Let me clarify, I drive a 2000 Coupe and it still happens on '01 6 speeds. Mine occurred 5/28/00. The auto '01's don't have the feature, the 6 spds do.

Great question! I haven't heard of any 2001 models with the column lock problem. Has anyone else???

I read about two on the CorvetteForum.com...don't have the links handy though.

Since the '01's, I haven't seen as many, but, it's not as hot ths time of year, summer usually brings more occurrences. Mine was on a hot day in Louisville before the Forum's Cruise-In. Talk about bad timing

One of my Zaino customers that lives about 15 minutes from me had his Z06 column lock on him about 3 weeks ago, he was over my house last Tuesday.

My column lock bypass is on its way. I don't what to be one of the unlucky people waiting on a roll back to haul there vette's in.
