We carry the Stage I and Stage II HID lighting systems and run them in many of the vehicles that we have here. The kit includes the bulbs, wiring, ballasts and a relay. Installation is just a matter of taking out your stock bulbs, plugging in the HID bulbs, connecting the wire that runs to the ballast and plugging that into your stock wiring harness. The relay is needed for the C5/Z06 application.
More info can be found in the HID section of our website.
You should investigate Euros as well. I have them in my car with a high wattage harness and they work better than my wife's new 330Ci with factory HIDs. No joke. Sure, they don't have the "cool" look of HIDs, but isn't it about lighting the road properly?
Best thing is, they are being used as they were designed to be used, and are not a hack job like a lot of the HIDs out there. Most people are putting HID bulbs inside Euro lenses which is not how they were designed to operate, plus true (and legal) HID setups require auto-leveling which I don't think anyone has.
Personally I would never put HID bulbs into a lense not designed for them - you're just asking for trouble IMO, and lots of experts agree with that.

I had Phillips HID's in my Z06 for a while, the problem is that no matter how you would adjust the lights for height you were always getting "high beamed" , the police were not impressed either :( I switched to the Euro lights, sure you give up some wattage but the light pattern is great, you do not piss off other drivers (and the police) with the right bulbs you will have more then enough light.

OK, can someone tell me what euro lights are?...Also I noticed the Z is missng the fog lights that are on the C5...Any way of puttin these back? I was looking at the vararam unit nd it allows the existing foglight locations. I`d be interested in a kit to put fog lights back on.
Thanks
Mark

I am not a real big fan of those lights either. Simply too bright for heavily traveled roads, just my opinion.

I have the same question. I want to be able to switch them on on hazy days without turning on the main beam (also known as barn doors). Hopefully the wires are there from the wireing harness but just not terminated with lights and a dashboard switch.
I own a 2003 Chev Corvette Z06. I was eager to install the HID's,
so I bought some & off I went. I installed the passenger side
according to the instructions with no problem. I
turned the unit on and it worked. I turned it back
off and installed the driver side. I turned it on and
it worked... for about 10 seconds. Then ONLY the
driver side went out.
I turned off my headlights and checked the HID bulb.
The round center tube has a burnt yellow sulfery look
to it. I thought I may have burned out the bulb. I
disconnected the cars plug from the system on that
side and replaced the factory 9006 bulb. I turned it
on and it didn't work. Investigating further, I
realized the motor drive that hides the headlights
start to drive the headlights down when I turn off the
lights, but they dont go down anymore. The motor
jolts like it is going to work, and then just quits.
I looked for a fuse in the fuse panel and the manual
directs me to fuse #54 which dosent seem to exist
according to the diagram they gave me. Even if I
found it, that particular fuse works both headlights.
That isn't my problem.. the passenger HID is shining
bright and beautiful. I was wondering if you had this
complaint from Chevy Corvettes, and if you had any
idea what a solution might be..?? I am stumped on
this one. I am wondering if some inline fuse may have
burnt out, the bulb, or possibly both. More
importantly, WHY did it happen??
Anyone have a clue...??
Oh, and I love the look of the ONE light! The one is brighter than both of the standard headlights together hitting the road.
If you install HID's yourself, make sure you hit the spring part of the bulb at the 7 Oclock position within the bulb housing. If not you will blind people with the high intensity portion of the light. Many people put it back in wrong I guess so everyone is killed with light.

I installed Phillips HID sys on my 03 Z06 last yr, low beam only. Took me about 1.5 hrs and everything worked well and the output is so nice. It's about $425 including tax.
Ok, I have my problem solved... I called the place I got it from (HIDfactory.com) and I asked a few questions , and then I solved the problems by process of elimination. They explained that the system was very safe and would do anything to the car that an ordinary bulb would do. The system came with two 20amp fuses that I didn't use and they explained why I shpuld have used them, so I will pass that info on to you. The stock bulb uses 55 watts to work and the HID system only uses 35 watts. The HID system however needs 23,000 volts to initialize ( turn on) the lights. I replaced the two low beam headlamp fuses which gave me my power sourse back. I checked the bulb that I replaced and realized although it wasn't burt out, the filament had broken loose. There was the reason for the loss of light on the driver side. To make a long story short, the HID lights were put back in and they work great! The people at HIDfactory.com were very nice and helpfull. The system I got was for the low beam only also and it ran about $450. They are the 7000 K Zenon lights. Oh, sorry for the long message , but I also learned that the Kel rating is for color and not necessarily just brightness.
Okay, I still have one problem if anyone can help me out. I turn on my headlights and the headlamps doors open fine. When I turn them off they don't close all the way. I looked for any obstruction and moved stuff around to see if anything was in the way, but I can't find anything they might be hitting. If I use the manual crank, the doors will close with no help but as soon as I start the car they go half way back up. Is there anything else I can try to adjust these doors so they are where they are in the position they are supposed to be when the lights are on/off...?? Is there some way to reset the system electrically?
I seem to be posting my own replies here. That's okay.. I figure someone will read them and be able to figure out an HID installation with no headaches. All my problems solved now. The lights work great and I'm glad I got them. They are at least 3 times brighter than stock and they are not pointed in the wrong direction so I won't blind anyone. If anyone is looking at me and gets blinded by the bright light, it's because they shouldn't be looking directly into bright light at night anyway.
Birddog, you are correct that higher Kelvin means color and not brightness. As you go higher, you get certain things. Aside from the usual, more scattering and glare... you are getting a GENERIC capsule. These can go out in a very short peroid of time compared to a OE grade capsule. There are only 3 OE grade capsule suppliers; GE, Philips and OSram.
Some people are also confused with "Philips Kits". Philips does not make a kit, nor does Hella. Manufacturers often bundle a Philips ballast to a generic capsule and wallah.. Philips Kit. Sure you have a good ballast, but the most important AND expensive part of the whole system is the capsules (bulb). They are over $150 each to replace!!!!
As far as the lights not coming down, there is a fix to this, but I have only tested it on a Catz kit. It involves resistors you put in line with the headlight system.
