LA Performance

I ordered a whole bunch of things from La Performance. The front style Front brake cooling duct screens are crap. I called them and they said they work. I'm gonna send them back to them. Everything else is fine side screens and rear screens what do you guys think? Should they charge me a restock fee if the parts are not good? I don't think so. I called them and they kept me on hold when I told them I had a problem and the phone went dead...

LES What do you know about this outfit since they are a vendor here. Who should I talk to????

I have dealt with LAPD and had great service, and I have the front brake screens, and in my opinion, they are great. Were they damaged in shipping or something? What about them is "crap"??

they both are not made the same loose screen came in the box in a zip lock bag. Screens are not cut even.. Do you have any pictures of yours?

do different vendors here have different screens

I got my screens from LAPD and I love 'em All 3 look really nice when installed on the car. You won't see the edge of the front screens when installed.....I get all sorts of compliments

As far as I know, these are the only screens made for our cars.....and they are made by one of our fellow Forum members.

Shawn is the owner of LAPD and he's a great guy. I know he'll take stuff back and no, he won't charge you a restocking fee. I've returned a couple of items to him in the past.....Shawn really wants no unhappy customers. Not sure what happened with the phones, but I've never had that sort of a problem. A couple of times he gets so busy you may get a machine asking for your phone number, but that is rare.

Do a search on this forum for "screens" and you'll see many posts along with some really good pix.

They are not going to have finished ends. What you have gotten is the proper product. Install them you will see what I mean.They are not packaged in a box, I have never seen one packaged before. LAPD is a great vendor to deal with, I have made a few purchases with no problems whatsoever. They come with a long list of very happy forum users.

I was gonna try them but are all bent up.. Everything I buy and wait for at least one item is never right.... Usually I get wrong color or product. Rarely anything defective

How do the side screens hold up? I was concerned on the 2 way tape and those blocks.

My side screens have been on for 3 months now.....absolutely no problems They are the most visable and look fantastic IMHO!!

I think the tape is the same stuff GM uses to hold on the C5 Flag Emblems and the side Z06 Emblems.....ain't gonna come off....no way

Have a brewski and call Shawn Tomorrow Morning.....I'm sure he'll replace any damaged parts

I have had the screens on my car since Aug. 2000 and 33K miles, the 3M tape is the same that is used to hold the BSMs on.
There has been over 600 sets sold since Jan. with no problems. More than likley they got damaged in shipping.

I was just gonna give up on these. But if you are sending me them I will try those. I put the sides and rear ones in and they are great.

Sorry if the product got damaged in shipping. You may have been placed on hold because we may have been very busy at the time and it is hard for us to get to each call quickly especially when we have to answer technical questions that do take up a lot of time.

If we are unavailable by phone during our busy spurts, we are always available by email.

Another call into us would have yielded an immediate replacement of the parts overnight.

We stand behind EVERYTHING we sell and we will take care of any problems that may arise and we take care of them immediately.

In the future, please attempt at least twice in resolving an issue with us as we always take care of them on the first try.

Again, sorry about the hold time.
