Spiral Gray Z06?

Read the ordering guide for the 2003 Vet on the C5 Registry site, and I was surprised/confused to see that the new Spiral Gray is available on the Z06! I also noticed that Firethorn Red interior is back.

This is the first I've heard of this....anybody else?

I have a good friend here in Boca Raton Florida who will be purchasing a '03 Z06 with the intentions to paint the car in the Anniversary Red color. He also plans on converting the interior as well.

The Z06 wheels will be anodized in gold like the factory car.

He calculates the additional cost of a 1st class conversion to be about $20K.

Since I'm great at suggesting how people spend their money(hehehe)...I told him he should go all out and and spend more $$ chop the top...now that would be really be a 1 of a kind 50TH Anniversary Z06 car!!

FUBU, at that point it would be cheaper to update/upgrade the 50th Anniversary Vert into a Z06. That couldn't cost more than 20k, even buying everything brand new.

Stopped by one of the area Vette dealers yesterday and saw two '03 Vettes on the lot. One was a Silver Zee, the other a yellow vert. Salesman and I got to talking and I asked him if any new Spiral Gray Vettes are due in. After checking the computer he said no, but brought out a color chart for Chevrolet. He pointed to a beautiful metallic dark gray, and said that is the one being used on the '03 Vette....I like it! Too bad it is not offered on the Z06!!!
