Don't miss this great opportunity to take the Spring Mountain Advanced Driving School for a really special low price. For those wanting to drive an automatic, Spring Mountain has listened to you and an automatic is now available.
Prices will go up in 2006, so book your class before the end of the year and save $400.00.
As someone that's gone through both L1 and L2 classes, I would recommend these classes to anyone who want to learn the fundamental components of good car control, occasionally tracks their car, or even regularly tracks their car. The instructors are fantastic, as is the track and classes
Now, if I can figure out how to get some time away from the office, I may have to go back for a L2 class

Norm -- Not to speak for Janet . . . . . but
The L1 and L2 classes are essentailly "arrive and drive". You don't need to bring the car for the classes (although, the Corvette Days event in Feb is a different story). Essentially, you bring yourself and a healthy appetite for learning, and you're set.
Oli -- That's not a bad idea . . . I'm going to have to rethink if I can get out of here for a few days.
Hey Janet -- which track / config are they using for the L1 and L2 classes now? The original config, or the extension w/ Radical loop?
My Dad and I are going over my spring Break in March, I CANT WAIT!!! We went to Skip Barber a couple years a go, now its time to learn to drive the vette fast.

Eric, the original 2.2 mile track is used for Level 1 and most Level 2 classes. Occasionally a Level 2 class will use the new Radical Loop when requested and there is no one else on it. The Radical classes use the 1.5 mile Radical Loop.
As Eric stated, the Spring Mountain Advanced Driving School classes are an Arrive and Drive. Bring yourself, a pair of shoes good for driving and your enthusiasm. We provide lunch, the car, the fuel, the brakes and the greatest instructors.
This is something that I never got to do when I started racing. The opportunities that are available now are more than any racer or Track day driver could ask for.
Do it. in 100 years none of us will be around anyway.
See you at the races.

Hi Janet, see you at the Corvette Corral in infineon and Laguna next season.
Our Race at Infineon is with the NASCAR weekend, will there be a corral that weekend?? LG
I got the chance last year just before Christmas to do Level 1, what a great time
Here is what greets the class in the morning
Although I have a question; how are people going to learn the heel-toe

Sure, offer a larger discount as I board a plane headed for your Level 2 class (Nov. 10, 11). It was a blast! I have driven Road Atlanta, Sebring, and Watkins Glen (several times); these tracks give you some time to think between turns - not so with the Spring Mountain track.
Trail braking (balance braking, sorry Dave) is required in all turn to get the front of the car set. For even more fun, you are encouraged, prodded, etc to up/down shift while turning. I didn't enjoy that at first, but my best times came when I did all (most) of the shifts as instructed.
I drove the C6 and Z06, fortunately they had a QS Z06 so I felt at home. There are plenty of cars to go around.
They say we got around 300 miles in the car, I believe them. You spend some time in the classroom, but not too much, and buckets of time on the track. The Power Circles were a scream in the Z06 - I know we had much more fun than the tires did
Check out the in-car video of the track on their home page. Click here
