02 Z06 STS 42lb inj. max RWHP?

I've come to know that this can vary from system to system, I.E. A Kenne bell supercharger is good to 560rwhp with 42lb inj. Does anyone know what my car is good for?

If you're running the car with stock internals, which means conservative tune, I would assume your STS would be in the 550rwhp - 575rwhp range.

Re: 02 Z06 STS 42lb max RWHP?

Thanks!

I have forged pistons with 9.4cr! and a BOP!

But using a injector calc.:

For about 540rwhp
.6 BSFC
85psig
= 41.58lb inject.

Kenne bell notes 560rwhp with a supercharged car but a turbo is generally a touch more efficient so I'm thinking 540rwhp.
Thinking about it though he was talking stock CR so 540 definitely should be safe in great weather!

I've heard of guys with the STS dynoing about 570 rwhp, I just can't remember the details. I would have to look them up. I think it was unertaker who had about that much hp... before he went with the forged motor. Btw, haven't seen him here in a while. Look up his stuff... you should be able to find some good info on there.

p.s. - I'm with you on the turbo decision... I like the idea of having boost on command with a boost controller.

Yeah, I just put in my low switch at 450rwhp. 540 is to much with our gears. That's why I'm trying to dial in the 42's and not going up since I don't really even need high and in great weather I couldn't beleave it in 4th from 70 to 100, torque!

ECS put in 60lbs injectors as well as the BAP.. STS kit at 8.5lbs 564/490ftlbs... 8.5lbs cam & alky 612/590ft-lbs..

540rwhp is too much?

Re: 02 Z06 STS 42lb max RWHP?

After 2003 Vette's need 60lb even at less hp. I'm trying to stay away from them because my cause is already a terror when it's 40 degrees, just being careful.
