I just sold my Grand National that had Alky injection. Unless you plan on using about 12psi of boost on a stock Z06, I don't think it's really worth it. There are some really inexpensive kits out there (boost activated) for the GN community that would work just great on the Z too. I think there is a BIG misconception about alky. Alky does NOT, I repeat NOT, add any horsepower by itself. All it does is quench detonation allowing you to run more boost. I did run 25psi in my GN on the street with 92 octane and alky with no knock. But that was with a conservative tune and ALL the parts in the motor to handle that. I just wanted to make sure that people do not think that adding alky to a non-boosted car or even a 7 psi car is going to added ponies. All it's gonna do is probably rob power at those levels as the alky also tends to extinguish the spark if too much is injected. Propone injection (the new craze in the turbo regal community) does exactly the saem thing as well.
