chirping sound due to bearings? but which bearing?

i have a p1sc with stock pully and tensioner setup and i had the belot out of allignment before so i kept getting the belt chirping but that went away after the car warmed up but not i am getting a mettalic chirping that does not go away even after the is all warmed up and everyone keeps telling me that it is the bearing but which bearing is it? the one inside the SC or the tensioner one and is there a way to tell by not unassembling anything?

It is most likely the either the tensioner or the idler pulley. What I did to tell what pulley was the culprit was to take off the belt, get the pulley in your hand and turn it. You will feel it either roll smooth or have a rough spin to it while its in your hand. The one with the rough spin is the pulley with the bad bearings.

well i called procharger and they are sending me a new stage 2 tensioner pulley they had already sent me an idler pulley as well so i will get both these put on.

now does having a Gator belt really does make a diffrence? or should i go with the generic belt that my tuner will put on?

Re: chirping sound due to bearings? but which bearing?

The Gates belts are prone to chirping-The Gatorback should take care of it-but if you want big boost-live with the chirp.
