cooling a supercharged z06

Has anyone tried Water Wetter or 40 Below in their cooling systems? If so, how does it work?

I have water wetter in my Z. It doesnt keep the car any cooler but it does bring the temp down quicker if they do happen to climb. Not sure exactly HOW it works. Maybe a chemist could chime in here. Here in FL, when it's 90 degrees and 75% humidity, the car runs at 194-195 with the A/C off. With it on, it runs 205-215.

My car definitely ran hotter after my Vortech install. The blower and intercooler obstruct some of the flow through the radiator and leave the factory system somewhat "marginal" IMO. With a little dirt in the radiator, the system had trouble keeping up, especially with the AC on, unless the car was at speed.

I installed a DeWitt 2-core Aluminum replacement and a 174ºF T-Stat, and reprogrammed the fans to come on earlier. If I work hard at it, I can get the temps in to the 210-220 range, but not much higher.

I'd tried Water Wetter in the past and not noticed any significant difference.

Guys...you need to use common sense FIRST...

1) An IC, oil cooler, tranny cooler, whatever in front of the rad is simply a really BAD idea.

I have an IC in front of mine, with my maggie setup and am just finishing up a diferent system that will remove the ic from blocking the rad.

2) Water temps drive up oil temps until the oil gets hotter, then the opposite occurs. A small thick oil cooler NOT in front of the rad is best. (This is my setup and my temps are as good or better than anyone.)

Also, DON"T use a side mount oil adaptor, they are BS. Why? Because the oem filter will be BEFORE the cooler and if something should break off in the cooler or lines, you can TOAST your engine. Do you want to trust that any of the welds, etc. in a cooler WON't break off over time and vibration, etc...be my guest. I prefer to have my filter as the last item in line before my bearings.

The ProCharger kit is less intrusive than the Vortech. The Vortech Blower and Intercooler pretty much fill the entire space between the radiator and engine block. If I remember right, I actually had to notch-out the fan shroud to make room for the Intercooler.
