I just got rid of the FX35 family hauler/commute mobile and my wife refuses to hand over the keys to the mini ever since I tought her to row her own gears, so Ive been "stuck" piloting the vette to work and back.
1. Start the car in the morning and quickly exit the premises before the neighbors wonder which airplane just landed in their backyard.
2. Turn onto the on ramp...........WHOAAAAAAA damn R-compounds are still cold, lets have some fun with that one, sideways back and forth up the ramp.
3. Traffic opens up, tires are warm, going about 80, decide to pass someone, debate fourth vs leaving it sixth, phuckit, why not. Downshift to fourth and stand on the pedal, holy dear God in heaven Im going triple digits Im going to get arrested at 7am stand on the brakes! Seriously, this car timewarps from 80 to 110 and next thing you know you have passed the car you meant to, along with three other cars AND the exit you meant to take!
Man, I love this thing. Its a jet!

T1 bars, Hoosier slicks, and chasing evos around a tight technical track that they are supposed to "own", givin them hell. That's where 800 is fun beyond comprehension.
(kinda funny feeling spinning race slicks at speed at will tho)
You guys should name it the insane club (800hp), i've got 500 rwp and it's stupid.
Don
With you on that one....I am at 541 rwhp and I thought that was sick. 800 must be outrageous. What tires are you guys using on the street that lets you plant that much power? I can break the wheels free at will with much less power.
I am getting used to it. Forged motor and the elimination of the restrictor plate in the future.....

I'm just about done tearing up toyos. I'm going to do one long smoke on video before I toss em in the garbage. The streets don't plant anything, they succomb to the torque.
Highest I've tried is 70 in 4th, yes it broke quite happily. 1-3 is ridiculous trying to stay out of the torque. Even off boost with the new mti motor.
I wanted the old school muscle car motor with the latest sts twin turbo tech. MTI has had much success with this combo, I'm probably their most recent one but not for long I'm sure.
Mine racked 856bhp on their dyno at a conservative 11 psi of boost, which was limited by the waste gate spring we had on hand that day. I've had so much fun, I haven't even remembered to get the new higher boost spring from sts yet. I'm sure it's good for plenty more, although I'd only be able to use it on track day with the slicks on all four corners.
For now, my focus is on the catch can system. One 20min run hitting 10psi alot fills up the can. Just 10 psi boost blows out lots of oil into the catch can so I'm trying to design a system that will allow me to run harder and hold (and maybe return) the oil before raising boost higher.
