ECS Twin Turbo

What a day..

I picked up the car yesterday morning from East Coast Supercharging in NJ and after swapping tires we went directly to Atco Raceway to run it at a rental.

2004 Z06 with LS6
- ECS turbo cam with supplemental parts (springs, retainers, rods..etc)
- ECS Alky Kit
- ECS SD Tune
- STS Twin Turbo Kit with GT32 turbos producing 8.5psi
- 60lb Injectors + booster pump (pretty sure thats it)
- Textralia ExoSkel Twin Disc Clutch
- stock 3.46 gearing with hardened output shaft
- DTE Diff Brace

Power with 8.5psi
612rwhp
586lb-ft

I still can't believe at how great this car feels.. The power delivery is butter smooth and the tune is absolutely perfect on the car. I know Doug spent a lot of time with the car and it shows.

After a day of running 18" BFG Drag Radials, Undertaker gave me the chance to take some passes on his CCW drag package and what you see is what we got.. It took some time getting use to but by the 4th pass I was able to get a good run so I called it a day and turned it over to Doug..

My best pass with the drag package was
10.891@133.04
Timeslip
Doug @ ECS took two passes with the car and nailed a 10.74@135.10
Timeslip

I don't think words can convey how happy am I right now with the mannerisms of the final product both ON and OFF the track. As a person with very little drag racing experience, I didn't have high expectations for myself so when I went to the track, I did so hoping to run low 11s with high 120 trap speeds. To drive away with a 10.89 slip at 133mph is extremely satisfying.. I really can't thank Doug & the ECS crew for their work on this car.. They truly have given me a car that is a pleasure to drive and have also managed to meet ALL my expectations (which isn't easy to do)..

Can't wait till October when we actually have decent turbo weather..

What a monster - congrats on the new-found power. Now buy a tire store

well, as long as the motor holds I'm gonna leave it where it is, I'm happy with the power she's at right now.. I can still smash the throttle at 50mph and have traction I don't need to be spinng the tires at 95 again, I was doing that before I put r compounds on and it wasn't fun..

It would have taken two 1.8T motors in my TT to make this much power..

No comparison.. Feels so damm good, I don't miss that 1.8T motor the least bit..

Re: ECS Twin Turbo

ECS does great work. Been up there three times for different stuff. Will be going again for a minitub and some Stoptechs when I can afford it.

Re: ECS Twin Turbo

That thing is sweet. Makes me wish I didn't live in Ca and I could modify my vehicle how I wanted.
