Finished & tuned w/dyno #'s! 562/467 (long)

I literally finished buttoning up the installation of my old-style P1SC Procharger Saturday morning so I could make my appointment with the tuner an hour away in Gettysburg, PA. I started it for the first time and went through the process of adding coolant and waiting to see if the fans/t-stat were working properly, listening for funny noises, etc... Of course, I had the mandatory coolant leak which fortunately was just a hoseclamp I neglected to tighten. My first (test) drive was the drive to PA and I didn't even have time to install any gauges!

I drove up on the stock injectors, never going above 2000rpm. The temp outside was 95F but coolant temps stayed at a solid 194-196F with the A/C on, even though I have the radiator reclined and don't have the centerpiece of the airdam installed. I DID make a makeshift "shroud" and made my own piping setup for the blower to resemble the newer kits. Once at the shop, we also pulled out the line that goes from behind the TB to the valley pan and vented it to the ground.

Once I made it to the shop (after having to drive like an old woman through thunderstorms on my BFG KD's), I installed the 60LB Siemens injectors I brought along. The tuner I used is named Jeremy Formatto and he travels around the country tuning cars with cooperating shops. He is quite popular with the GTO crowd and is a nice guy, very accessable, will explain any question you might have about what he is doing to your car, and does NOT lock the tune. He loaded a base tune from another car that had a similar setup and we loaded the car on the dyno. All it needed was three pulls to richen it up a bit and pull some timing. He also road tested it with me while monitoring everything. We had ZERO knock retard during full throttle blasts. The temp outside was 87F and the results are below. Very happy and until you get on it, you would never know the car wasn't stock, except for the very faint whine from the blower.

Very nice!!!! I would recommend replacing those screw clamps with t-bolt clamps. Nice work.

Yeah, I ordered a bunch of good clamps in the wrong sizes, plus then I went with a larger tube so now I am stuck with a bunch that will fit a 3" tube.

Please tell me you disconnected the line that I circled and blocked it at the intake manifold and vented the crank case to the air filter?

Yep, pulled the line out that you circled, capped the end behind the TB and used hose pointed to the ground to vent the other end.

You could also vent this location if you see you are getting excessive crank case pressures.
