I vote TT setup on your LS6.

You'll get more power and better MPG from a TT LS6 than you'd get from a NA LS7. And it'll arguably be less work, since you won't have to pull motors or screw with the electronics to adapt the C5's computer to the LS7's sensors.

Thanks Mike. With the exception that some bone head stuck the wrong engine in my car. LS2s are for C6s, not C5s.

Why not just TT an LS7? Then you get the best of both worlds!

I've got 500rwhp with a LS3 418ci build, headers 3" exhaust and stock ti. I would think if planned a little better I could had 30 more hp. What are you looking for in HP numbers? I keep up with Norm somewhat, but well ahead of Terry in his stock C6 Z (you have to know Terry)...

Re: Need help LS7 in to a C5 ZO6 or LS6 twin turbo

For that kind of HP you might want to think about getting with SLP to build the motor for TT application. I have the SLP402 iron block LS1 low compression stroker motor in my FRC with the STS twins. I don't think I would put that much power to ANYTHING stock, you would just wind up buying another motor eventually anyway. Just my 2 cents.

There was one member here who had a NJ tuner build a forged 346 turbo car that put down just over 1000 rwhp......but that was more than just a stroker kit.......and a one of a kind so far that I know of.
1200 hp is a huge number.....is this going to be a dyno queen?? That'll be a real handful to keep under control on the street...even in dry conditions.
Good luck on this build...keep us posted on you progress.

Not sure if you care about this or not, but if going the TT route, I believe the STS Turbo kit is still the only CARB legal one out there, unless things have changed in the last 2 years...

Re: Need help LS7 in to a C5 ZO6 or LS6 twin turbo

I think JoFu is right about the carb legal STS Kit that is needed for Ca. If you have any questions about that kit, I can answer them for you. I also have pics of the install on my FRC if you are interested. It is a clean kit for sure. I am waiting on my heads to come in from SLP to find out what my numbers are going to be, and I will post them after the dyno.
