New dyno numbers for 02 Z06. 607rwhp 503rwtq.

I finally got the clutch and out put shaft installed. Actually CAM did that. And got the car back on the dyno with some fuel this time. The final numbers are 607rwhp 503rwtq SAE corrected. But we had to keep detuning it to make around 600rwhp. So the final afr is around 11.5 with max timing of 15*. The 42's are maxed out at 122% duty cycle and my BAP is at 50%. All I can say is Jeff is the man. Great guy to work with. We were going to drop the Ti to see what it is holding back but we didn't want to push it.

Yes he is trying to break it... I was at CAM getting my car tuned when they were putting in your new clutch. I looked it all over. I was amazed at the power you're putting through that thing.

Why not upgrade the injectors? Why not go with an AA blower motor?

I was told today that 525-550 is the limit with boost after that its a timebomb.

Thats something of a gray area, but I was referring to his injectors. Depending on his driving habbits, octane, tune, etc the car may last a long time or not at all. But running injectors at 122% is like putting 87 octane in a 12:1 CR car. Its just asking for trouble.

Cobra4B. Do I even know you? How can you give an answer like that if you have never talked to me. Jeff and I set up the car to be as safe as it can be.

To answer the why not questions. MONEY. I also didn't think that this thing was going to make this much power. Early indications led to 575ish max. Plus the afr is a steady 11.9-11.5 at the tail pipe through the cats. So much richer at the engine. But I am going to upgrade to 60's. I just don't want to make any more power on the stock short block. Hense the richening and the lack of timing (15* total). I figured that sense the afr was good the injectors were doing their job. Mabey not. I don't drive the car hard unless I am at the track. So about once a month or so.

I am sure there is more in the car if I wanted to tap into it. But I am scared. No money for a new short block. Like I said. This is through catted LT's and the stock Ti. Still with an LS6 intake and no meth. I am running the 4.10 pulley as well. So it is only making 8-10 lbs of boost.

Before you get down too much on "reactions from some of the members", you might want to consider the possibility that these members just don't want to see a Z06vette brutha do serious damage to his engine and they have no other ulterior motives with their posts.
It's a possibility, don't you think.....

Brett no... I don't know you... but when at CAM jeff was joking that it was on the ragged edge. It's kind of known that a stock bottom end can't take more than 550 rwhp for too long.

Well you certainly picked the most appropriate user name here for your situation. I would PRAY my connecting rods stayed together for more than a few weeks with 600 rwhp.

This motor will make serious power, its just too bad 10.7:1, eutectic pistons, powdered rods and 8 psi is a recipe for disaster. Good luck with it!

Everyone one has their opinions ! Alot has to do with the tuner ! Ecs sets their cars everyday with 600hp and most are still alive ! I'll agree it's better to forge but we take chances everyday and forging doesn't mean it won't break ! I've got 2 years on my setup !
