Hey everybody I got my prelim numbers from my tuner today. Sorry I dont have a dyno sheet yet and dont know the specifics, but I was so happy I had to post. 650rwhp, 605 rwtq with just 7lbs of boost on a 408 stroker. :jawdrop: Man I am so happy I wont be able to sleep. I dont pick the car up until Friday :( They still have a little more tuning to do. Eventually I will pully it to 10lbs of boost (thats what the engine was built for) but I am going to break her in with the power I have know. Big thanks to Rob Walden of Lamar Walden Automotive and Tom Garland, and the rest of the crew. You guys are AWESOME And thanks Andy for getting that pully out to me

That has to be all you wanted and more. I'm real happy for ya, brutha. You have a Grade A monster on your hands now!!!
As for the sleep thing, try counting sheep. It hasn't worked for me but what the hell, maybe you'll get lucky
Mike
Thanks Mike for all of your advise. I am so tired of counting sheep I see them when I am awake When do you get your beast back. I know you are getting ansy. I am so happy with my numbers. I cant even imagine what its going to make with 10lbs of boost when and if I change the pullies

Life is tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid...John Wayne.
Si vis pacem, para bellum.
Yes I used the Iron block because I had originally planned on spraying a 50 shot on top of it. Its still hooked up but havent had it tuned with it ( I might not now) might just up the boost when/ if needed
TA, you are right about the ability to up the boost whenever you feel the need for more power but before you toss your 50 shot setup into a box, let me throw out a thought.
The intercoolers will do a good job of keeping your temps down but if you find that you're gonna go to the track during the hot summer months, a nice little 50 shot of spray will negate the effects of 90+ degree temps and take away any advantage that the other juiced cars might have at the track during hot weather.

Just a thought.......

Thanks for the input Mike
I most likely will keep it( I had put on some nice looking braided blowdown tubes) Just wont use it often
When do you estimate getting your beast back
I sure hope so. But only shooting for 10's right now on drag radials. I need to look at getting a CCW setup. But after this I cant find anything but lent in my pockets

TA, it could be anywhere from this Saturday to next Tuesday or Wednesday :(
Holy Crap!! That thing isn't gonna hook 'till third. Be careful with it until you're used to it. Are you putting in a role bar? Congrats!
Thanks Tom
Yeah I am going to take it easy for awhile. I had gotten used to the 505rwhp with the nitrous, but this will be different. Thats why I am waiting to up the boost. I was thinking about the role bar, maybe in a few months. As of right now I mainly drive on the street, most tracks will require the role bar. So I will be waiting for a local track day and the Fest. ( I think I can run without the role bar at these)
