Procharger belt squeak

I have an A@A D1sc procharger system and have been having problems with the belt squeaking. It is the 8 rib setup. I am currently running around 18psi by using the smallest sc pulley and the largest crank pulley I could buy. The belt is in line (tested it with a laser) But I can't get the belt to stop squeaking. It only does it after the first 75-100 miles of a new one being installed. At wot I am not losing boost pressure any suggestions or someone who has gone through this please help!!!!

I would suggest going to the ATI stage 2 brackett. That is alot of boost and if it is the same bracket that I had from A&A with the extra pulleys for added belt rap it just wasn't enough. No problems after going from 6 rib to 8 rib and the stage 2 bracket. Hope this helps. Belt issues seem to be voodoo on this forum but as MikesZ06 pointed out it is hard/impossible to diagnose belt issues without having the car present.

Re: Procharger belt squeak

Thanks for your input that was really helpful. How much did it cost and did you have to buy a different size belt after the bracket was installed?

I bought the 8 rib conversion kit with the stage 2 bracket so I don't know how much it is seperately. The tensioner that comes with it is massive compared to the stock one on the A&A bracket. It also has a manual adjuster on top of the spring load so you can dial in the tension. Not sure on the new belt. Mine came with the new belt since I was going from 6 rib to 8.
