Should I do this or not?

While I am close o 600rwhp/600 rwt with my minimaggie, I am thinking about upgrading to this

Should I?

I would go back to the oem hood and cut a big hole in it

If strictly for drag racing I would say yes but if you're going to drive it on the street I would say no. That big bulge sticking out of the hood will interfere with good visibility and I think would become a nuisance after awhile.

Have you seen the KB hood?

But you are correct, it would be a bit much

Hmmmm.....

The engine sticking out the top of the hood looks stupid on a modern corvette. No way I would do it.

That system is not set up for a Corvette. If you want a street machine or drag car then you can build one. I for one would hate to see you do this to your Corvette. I think the Magacharger is at the limits for a supercharging system for a Corvette as it adds weight to the nose and requires a hi rise hood.

With ProCharger and Vortec available, that huge hunk of metal sticking out of the hood looks stupid on a C5.
If you are into the retro dragster/hotrod thing, go find a '97-'98 coupe and play with that!! You could take your time, bring it up to 'show and go' standards and have two sweet Vettes!!

Sorry man but I agree it would look silly sticking out of the hood. Also I can tell you from my own experience, I had a 66' Chevelle as a street/strip car several years ago and it had a 11 inch snorkle hood on it when I got it. It was short lived you will get sick of it being in the way quick

Personally I would not do it on a C5 .....
now an early 'Vette or Camaro would be a different story.
And yes you too can put an LSx motor in the earlier chassis of many different cars now.

Why are you asking??? If you want it... I say let it rip. If you do a "clean install" it will be killer....IMO
