ok guys i have an 03 Zo6 with 36,xxx miles. procharged 6psi. cammed, head work, full exhaust all bassani, and just found out everything is forged internally on the motor... I have a broken valve spring and want to replace all of them.. it had the comp cam dual spring in it and im thinking it was a factory defect from compcams.. should i go with the same ones? or switch to something different? hopefully somebody else on here has a similar setup and can guide me in the right direction.

I realize this is an older post...but no one contributed to it so...

With the cam, it would be a good choice to go with the dual springs & Comp's would be a great choice.

Comp did have a bad batch of springs a few years ago & those are probably the one's that you had trouble with in your car.

It isn't a bad idea & cheap insurance to change them out every so often any ways.

In your case, thank goodness the dual spring saved your motor.

What ended up causing the broken spring is that the previous owner put the crane gold rocker arms on it without taking the right mesurments and in time it was causing the valve to slightly kiss the piston causing a shockwave up the valve, breaking valve stem seals and broken valve springs. I'm in the process of taking the heads off and having them re worked to the right measurments for those rocker arms. Once everything is back together ill have LMR here in Houston tune the car. Im hoping to be in the 690s to 720s RWHP.

When I comes to Super Chargers Mike knows his stuff. I would agree 720rwhp may be optimistic. There is so much crap you have to do to the car to generate that kind of horse power.
