Squeaky Belt
I have a A&A Vortech SQ Kit, installed for about 2500 miles so far. I have a bad squeaky belt problem. The first belt went about 1,000 miles before it started squeaking on start up. I’m using a Gates belt from NAPA. If I shot a blast of belt dressing on the underside of the belt the noise would immediately go away. I decided to try another belt for the hell of it. I cleaned all my pulleys with Alcohol and put a new belt on. This belt lasted about 1,500 mile and the start-up squeak is back. The noise goes away after the belt heats up within a few miles, but it very embarrassing.
Anyone have any suggestions?
