Stroked/forged How many miles can we expect????

Going with a stroked/forged high hp motor, what kind of longevity can I expect.....The useage will be moderate at best, couple trips to the drag strip each year....I do not abuse the vehicle, just wondering how long this beast should last.....Also, ATI with 9-10 lbs boost..

This is very subjective. If you monitor your motor closely and assure its not pinging, you'll get a long time from the motor. If you don't have the timing and fueling set up accurately, you can lose a motor in one pass.

I agree with Norm ... a forged stroker, properly tuned and maintained, will last as long a any other N/A motor. Start adding 10#'s of boost and a bad tune, even a bad tank of gas, and you can still hurt the motor.

I have been told 25000 miles should be a good objective...This of course has a lot to do with using common sense...I was hoping some guys with miles on similar mods would chime in..

Those few forged factory blown cars have 100k mile warrenties on them...
If it is set up right there is NO reason that it should not last the life of the car @ that boost level.
