STS kit on a 01 zo6

anyone have any advice on what i should check out on my car before putting it on? upgrades needed?

also this car is stock

Welcome to the site!

That's a very open question you asked.

So much depends on what boost you're going to be running, mods you currently have, etc.

Perhaps you can try this again with a little more specifics so that the members can better provide you some input.

i plan on running 6-7 lbs of boost with no mods on the car.but im not sure if my car is mechanically sound. im goin to run a compression test on it. im wondering if there is any other test i should do before putting the kit on? also is there any upgrades i should buy for my car before putting the kit on? such as fuel system, heads, etc...


the only thing done to the car right now is a twin disc clutch

Perfect. You are on the right track. Making sure the engine can hold up to the boost is very important. Then making sure you supply enough fuel for the added increase in power. Then make sure you get a good tuner and you're good to go.
