Absolutely, all the time. Ive done it on Pilot Sports (car is very traction limited in the first three gears) and R compound Nitto NT01s (car has NO traction problems after driving on the tires for fifteen minutes to get them warm). You can hook an obscene amount of power on the street with the right rubber and judicious throttle application.

Update

This thread is old. You should update it with a current poll listing Kenne Bell as well. My stock ZO6 with a KB makes 534 rwhp and it's detuned. No other mods. Let's see you get that with a Vortech, Magnacharger or Procharger on a stock motor.

BWhahahaahahahaha youre kidding right?

Heres a dyno from FOUR YEARS ago on my car when it was just blower+headers on a stock motor.

This was at something like 7psi. I currently run 15psi through a built motor.

Thanks for the laugh.

Actually

Thanks for the responce but actually was wondering why no one had posted any info on the KB kit that their website claims to have 800 RWHP right out of the box, my measly 534.8 with 6lb's of boost isn't jack...your 600 is impressive but was kind of hoping to get some feedback on a little more updated technology as opposed to that old stuff......like the black girl said to the white guy...sorry that's not quite enough

Actually, there is info on the KB here on the site. Do a search.

I believe the responses to your post were because of this statement...

btw, twin screw blowers are not exactly "updated technology". They've been around for a long time.

From what I have seen, the KB for the Z is very impressive but it's not in a class of it's own. Just a good alternative along with other power adders.

There was no category for it on this thread's poll because KB had not modified their blowers for our Z's when the thread was started in May of '05.

Re: Which Superchargers Best?

ECS probably has the best/most complete kit, although I prefer the ProCharger head units: self contained, and Loud.

Running best of both worlds, ProCharger head unit and ecs bracket w/ fmic.

Here's a Procharger F1C on a built 347-a 347-no fancy heads either-CNC port LS6 with stock valves-can a KB do that?

Re: Which Superchargers Best?

Man, I'd have thought this discussion had been beat to death by now, but it appears not.

Forced induction comes in many flavors. Each type has advantages and disadvantages over the others. What's "best" for you is a function of your priorities. There is no one "best" Supercharger (or Turbocharger). It's all relative.

Been done with all 3, but dyno numbers are meaningless anyway. All 3 have powered 9 second c5s, STILL waiting for a 9 second KB time slip.
