The warranty's on the blower, not related engine failures, correct? I THINK my Vortech was 2/24K, but I'll have to check.

I'm down with the Intercooled Mag setup. Streetable, under warranty, and seriously fast. I am honestly a little shocked at how fast my car is now.

Custom SIC ATI ProCharger (D1SC) from ECS or A&A. Hands down!.

Vortech = drill oil pan.
Mag = replace hood.

I do agree, though, that the ATI appears to be a simpler installation (having installed my Vortech myself, I know exactly how much of a PITA it is). Besides not having to drill the oil pan, you don't have to relocate the Alternator, P/S pump and ABS modulator.

However, once they're installed, I think there's little measurable difference between the Vortech and ATI.

The Magnusson is a different beast altogether, arguably superior for all around driving. You need to keep the RPMs up with the Centrifugals (just like a Turbo) to get usable boost, not so for a Roots type like the Magnusson. If you don't mind havng to deal with the high-rise hood, the I/C Magnusson is probably the better choice (cleaner installation and better low-RPM performance). At the time I was shopping for a Blower (end of last year) I didn't like any of the high-rise hood options and the Magnusson wasn't intercooled, so that option wasn't open to me. I still don't like the hood choices, but at least they got rid of the no-I/C problem!

Now they have the CARB approval also. (Mag) I now like the Garavaggio hood..........no water issues and it looks like the original hood with an attitude.

I stand corrected (and pleased.) Thanks big guy!

BTW: Anyone considering a blower install should check with my man Phil @ Dynotech. He does both Vortech and Magnusson and is one hell of a good guy!!

I wasnt too sure about changing my hood either, at first. Then I saw the ACI hood for the Mag and I liked it. From the side, you can barely tell it's real hi rise. From the front, you totally can, but I think it looks pretty bad ass without being too over the top like some of the other ones I've seen. It really doesnt take away from the lines of the car.

The Magnuson has a 36,000 mi warranty - when you are just cruising around town, the system is basically switched off. It's like a normal Z06. But when you get on it, watch out.

Glad to hear all went well NW. I would love to hear the engine @ WOT with the mag.

After a slow start waiting for the hood to arrive things are starting to come together for me now, my MCM hood was installed two weeks ago and I am waiting for Chris to get me in the shop. Looks like Monday I'll be taking it to ECS. Being patient is taking its toll on my nerves. Soon... very soon.

Nothing's more ugly than the flat, ugly-azz looking stock hood. How do you find this ugly??:

MCM hood at 22 lbs. Who cares if they know 20 seconds before, or 5 seconds after, an azz-whooping is an azz-whooping.
