Very true, "Ugly" was probably the wrong term from both sides.

I'm not going to argue, because usually these kind of things are dealer specific. Some won't touch your car with headers, others will. But here is this link:

I am in a toss up between the Vortech and the Magnacharger..... Like the torque and the looks of the Mag, and like the all out power and intercooler of the Vortech..... Decisions Decisions!!

Interesting, I would have to say Vortech is the number supercharger company out there today. I'd buy a Vortech over any other kit. They are very reliable and the instructions included are first rate compared to ATI.

Ordered the "Composite Blower Hood" to cap off the I/C Mag which will be ready for pick up August 11th. Then off to the body shop for installation and painting of hood, and "Lambo" door hinges installation.

I have a 427 with a Vortech T Trim setup. The Vortech is the better looking, better engineered piece for a mild setup. The problem is that you cannot upgrade the pullies for much higher horsepower and thus pully alignment becomes a real bitch with the Vortech. Believe me. The pullies are a bitch. The ATI is simple and A&A makes an 8 rib setup only for the ATI. If had not already invested in the Vortech I would have bought the ATI.

You might check with A&A as I believe I read somewhere that they will be coming out with a new Vortech kit. Improved like the ATI is at A&A's shop.

After getting towed home due to belt failure I'm gonna say yes.

I understand the tensioner floats at higher rpm's so mebbe after upgrading the belt tensioner a 6 rib belt will be okay. Either way I will carry a spare belt with me.

Yes I think having a spare belt set would be an excellent idea. Did you have a belt failure on the Mag S/C intercooled unit?

Yeah I have the IC mag. Since I had the mag installed it would not run below 230 if the AC is on. I think the high heat might also have contributed to the belt failure. Gotta ask Chris about this. I put another t-stat in over the weekend. Will have to see if that helps.

Yeah, Chris had the LPE 160 t-stat for the '04 shipped directly to me. The K&N (?) I took out looked different Be Sure. I installed it on Saturday, rained on Sunday, the car went into the body shop on Monday and just got it back tonight. I will see tomorrow if the prob is corrected.
