Is Tom Wong a STS Dealer?

He said he is in business with them, but, he is not on this list?
(update 7-11-08: they added it! maybe now he will get it 'ALL' right for the next guy)
Squires Turbo Systems - Dealer List

He has also recently said a 99 C5 has the same STS PCV setup that was used on a 02Z06?

BEWARE OF EVERYONES WORDS!

And what I find myself saying a lot to guys like this:
"Don't give the Psychos an excuse"

Re: Is Tom Wong an STS Dealer?

Are you asking if he is a site sponsor or if he is an approved dealer with STS?

I haven't got a clue what you are saying or trying to accomplish. How about shedding some light on this....

Mike, I have looked at this and for one have no idea what he is talking about, other than he thinks he got screwed or is not happy with the work done...

I for one would have contacted STS for the answer....

Gentlemen, STS has written legal protections for there dealers upon receipt of there systems, and if someone is not there dealer, or not on there dealer list they are taking all of the responsibility.
Furthermore, eventhough I really love my car now, some of my gray hairs should of been and would have been his with this piece of information!

I.E. My tune leaving his shop went from 10.8-11.6 which is not really condusive to boost adjustment. After I had Andy redue the tune it was a straight line and very adjustable.

Sincerely Guys!
Even though this Tom Wong person is not a member of this site and STS is not a supporting vendor, I don't see why you just didn't make the point you wanted to make rather than make confusing statements that didn't make sense to anyone? From your link, it looks like to took the same approach over on LS1 Tech (exact same posts, as a matter of fact).

Probably just me, but your sidedoor approach to this issue kind of discredits whatever point you were trying to make.

Re: Is Tom Wong an STS Dealer?

Although oddly worded perhaps, I understood it as an informational post, a warning if you will, in the form of a question. He never asked if Tom Wong (aka TJWong) is a supporting vendor, nor did he ask if STS was a supporting vendor of this forum.

Tom Wong is located in Vancouver WA, just north of the WA/OR border. However, on other forums he often claims to be in Portland Oregon (and I don't blame him). The ONLY authorized STS vendor in WA is in Lynden, which is just south of the Canadian border.

Currently there are no authorized STS dealers/installers in Vancouver, WA or anywhere remotely close to it (none in Oregon) listed on the STS website.

rosulekg, is that the gist of it?

Well, fortunately the all-knowing, all-seeing no doubt knew exactly what you were talking about so I guess that's OK then.

Mike

Re: Is Tom Wong an STS Dealer?

Mike, I said "I understood it as"... I guess that was too difficult for you to grasp.

You've been dogging my a$$ a lot lately and although your smarmy remarks may be entertaining to some, they do nothing to further ones knowledge about the Z06.

Apparently you've never heard of the concept of attacking the post and not the poster. It's a rule on most forums. If one is breaking a forum rule that's one thing, but making snide comments about ones posts, especially as a moderator, is uncalled for.

rosulekg, sorry for the hijack, but I wasn't the one who kicked the door open.

Continue gentlemen.

Re: Is Tom Wong an STS Dealer?

Interesting.

I have found Tom to be most likely the sharpest Vette mechanic in the Northwest but don't take my word for it.

Check out the (other forum) for opinions.

Your post insinuated that you had a firm knowledge of what the thread starter was saying even though the rest of us were confused. Granted, after my post he edited a previous post to give more clarity on the issue, but even so....

Therefore my later post joked that you had figured it all out when the rest of us were confused about his meaning. If you find that "smarmy", then so be it (and I'm not sure anyone's "knowledge about the Z06" has been enhanced by this thread....fortunately we do not judge every post made on this site on a 1 to 10 scale of Z06 knowledge enhancement).

Mike

btw, no forum rules were broken in this thread so no 'moderator' action was taken or considered. I think that is 'grasp-able' enough.

He has also told me he was a whore and would do anything for money! Not very credible! He has as late still argued that the STS PCV for a 99 c5 worked fine which is not the same animal as the c5 Z06 where it blocks off the crankcase with a check valve (the 99 doesn't have the valley vent). All this crap I was stuck with and which I paid him to have together.

And this and other forums info had a lot to do with my boosting my car so I am just continueing the info!
Sincerely!

Glen if you are so concerned whether or not I am a dealer for STS then why didn't you just call them and ask them. I think that is what most people would do. As for my remark as being a "whore" I used that as a figure of speech. Yes, I take money for services rendered just like anyone else in business or like a whore does. Also When I told you that I was making reference to my previous career as an consulting engineer where I would hire out to whoever had the money to pay me, just like a whore

I also answered you via email and also answered your post on LS1 tech:

Is Tom Wong an STS Dealer? - LS1TECH

Mike I am a member here but haven't posted here for some time. Another member sent me the link to this thread. And yes I am confused as well too, as he sent me email messages asking the same thing which I answered for him.....but I guess it wasn't good enough.
