07 or 08

Still looking for my Z06. Found a couple and a dealer who's giving me fair money for my 02Z.I can save almost 7grand on the 07 which has under 50 miles on it 2LZ.Think i'm leaning toward the 07, and usung the extra cash for goodies. Mostly interior crap and maybe a clear bra.
What do you think?

Re: 07 or 08

Go with the cheaper one. There's really not much of a difference between the two. I think that the power steering was revised for the 08. I don't know how much they are asking for the 07, but the place I got mine from has an 07, blk, nav, chrome wheels for 62995. only has 650 mi. That's if you are willing to take the drive to GA.

Re: 07 or 08

I'd drive them both before you buy... The steering is worlds better in the '08 than earlier cars (I had an '06 & hated the steering) & the tranny is heavier duty as well.

Worth $7k diff?; No, but I think they can do much better on the '08 if you press them...

Good luck in your quest

perhaps I need to drive an 08 to tell the difference. 2006 is the only C6 that I've driven and I can't complain how the steering feels...at least compared to the Z16.

I would hope they'd give you $32-33k towards your car to compensate. You can almost buy a new '08 2LZ for $65k nowadays...

The steering on the 06-07 Zs are overboosted & vague, IMO. The steering on the '02Z I had was better feeling as well.

The '08 rack really has a good, natural feel to it. Some people may give a rats a$$ abt steering feel, but it's important to me. YMMV.

I know how you feel. Before I got my car 2 weeks ago, I've been shopping since September of last year. BTW, what is your current car?

I know how it is which is why I usually have 2-3 dealership working on deals when I was looking. I think my phone rang so much since I had dealerships in Alabama, Michigan, Tennessee, and Georgia calling me all times of the day. If things don't go the way you like it, walk away. We all know they'd come running once you start leaving. BTW, checked ebay lately? I found a few up north with low miles.
