Any awareness as to whether the C6 and Z06 fall under "all passenger cars" for the new GM 100K mile warranty?
They show vettes in the ad's at least, but still show 3/36 on the website.
Dealer's trying to sell me an extended warranty (which I normally get and transfer between vehicles over time.. but now I wonder if they are behind the times a little....)
That 5/100,000 doesn't cover electronics though... which are more likely to fail the 5 years than the mechanical bits... - otherwise the actuaries would never have signed off on the 5/100,000 warranty..
I got my notice in the mail that my 07 was covered.

5/100 Retroactive on all 07's. Bear in mind, only covers poewrtrain, and not all the "gadgets", so you still may want to consider an extended. I know I got one.

2007 VR 2LZ POLISHED ALUMINUM ........I THINK I'M IN LOVE....:
Thanks guys. I finally traded in my 04 Z16 on an 07 AO coupe... So I'm back out of the z06 arena for a while. The 5 C5 Z06's I had should keep me "in the club" though.
The dealer tried to get me to pickup an extended warranty with a lease and with the powertrain being covered, I couldn't fathom why I'd want the extended. But reality is, all of my C5 z06 failures were electrical in nature.....
Hopefully I'll be able to pickup a C7 Z06 at the end of this lease..
Whatever you'd buy as extended warranty would apply after that, I can only assume...

I bought the extended warranty before the 5yr/100k announcement. I was advised that the extended warranty would be revised and adjusted to fit the new timing. Refund adjustments will be sent out. They said it would take 90 days to rewrite the ext warranty and send the checks.

What would an extended warranty cost for my 2006 Z06 cost? I've had mine for 12 months and have 11,000 ELECTRIFYING miles on mine and plan on keeping this beast unless they make a convertible or a removable top with a 6-speed F1 paddle shifter. (I can dream, can't I? )
I'm curious because I just purchased an extended warranty for my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee from DC and the price varied a LOT depending on which dealer you bought if from AND when you bought it.
If you know of any Chevrolet dealers who will discount this, let me know.
