Well, I was able to get mine to read 200mph but it took the aid of a slight downhill and the wind behind me...got there with ease as I passed a 600RR at about 168 (that is what they max out at)....
Our new Z06s need a little more down force - that is all I got to say about that...
My personal best today, Hwy 55 just north of vermont border. Hit 160 miles per hour. It was my buddy's 50th and told me he didn't want to die on his birthday. Nice and solid at that speed.
Tail, I have a 3-month old 2006 and got it up to a solid 190, level ground, no wind. Previously I had a 2001 Z06 (top speed 169 ) and I couldn't believe how much stronger my 2006 pulled up through 175. Around 182 it was starting to struggle. If I had another mile or so, I'm sure I could have gotten up to 193 or 194. On the ride back home, I just kept shaking my head and smiling. I can now see why people were putting up $100k. The only sad part is that it is tough to share this thrill with anyone, third and fourth gear from 50 to 160 is a real hoot !!!

Ouch, I can't imagine what those east coast coppers would do if they saw that!
