2007 Price Increase

Just read on another Forum.....GM announced today a $3535 price increase on the base price of a Corvette Z06....Sorry I am the one who posted this first on this Forum......My build date is in September @ MSRP...but calling the Dealer and will be cancelling tomorrow if this indeed proves true.....

They have already posted the prices, and it wasn't that much. Just like 1.5% is what I believe. Do a quick search and you will see the other thread

Looks like the base price is now 70K for any Z06 built after July 26th.

At the Z06 the base price was $66,465. Hope the $70K is not true.

Just back from my dealer. Z06 base price increase is infact $3535.

Nice to see some of the additional profit that was going to the Dealer, now going to the General. I predict discounts by Spring.

Your sticker will show the new price, but as long as your order is a true sold order..your old price is intact!

The letter the dealers have states "All qualified bona fide sold retail orders entered in VOMS on or before July 25, 2006 and delivered to the original customer after that date will be price protected."

p.s. basically that means that the dealer had to place the order with Chevrolet, not that you gave the dealer a deposit.

Thanks for your reply to my posting...Question to you here now is...Yes, I have an order # (KFGCS7)...I have Hare Auto Groups' September allocation(I have seen their letter GM mailed to them on May 18th).....Scheduled to be produced sometime in early September...Price protected if at Status 1100? Order WAS accepted by GM..I have a copy of that order....Which was placed in early June.........

I am in a similar boat except mine will be produced during the week of 8/7. I e-mailed my salesman, so I will let you guys know what he says.

This whole thing is quite ironic. The same thing happened with my 2001 Z06. The dealer tried to stick me with a $1,000 price increase at that time, until he acknowledged that it didn't apply to me because I ordered my car before the price increase. I found out on an Internet forum that the increase didn't to me. Perhaps the Internet could save me money again.
