39,995 for a new 2006 c6 ?

I saw an ad for under 40k for a new vette at a dealer that has been fined hundreds of thousands of dollars over the last few years for various things by the state of Ga. I tried to buy a c5z from two of those dealerships to no avail before getting over 6k off list and 0% for 5 years (total ttt under 50k) from a country dealership outside Atl.
My question is what is the lowest price anyone knows of that was paid for a new c6 05 or 06 ? doesn't have to be a Z06

Norm, I don't think he's talking about a Z06 here. He just means a C6 coupe.

I could see getting a base C6 coupe under $40k right now, that's not too much of a stretch. I'm sure the ad is a price leader, designed to get traffic into the dealership. They'll likely sell that one car quickly and try to work the customers over as they walk in the door.

I paid $40,700 for my 2005 Vette last June. It would have been just over $40,000 but I added the glass removable top.

I had to order mine though, because they never stock any models without any options! Every one that I see on the dealer lots are like $50,000+!

You haven't "heard" of the other dealer?
