427 Special Edition question

Is 2008 the only model year they are building the 427 Special Edition Z06 or will it also be available in 2009?

It is only availiable this year..........GM is only building 427 of them limited edition.

Although this year's "Special Edition" was the crystal red car and production is finished, there was a "Special Edition" last year - Ron Fellows car, and I am sure there will be another "Special Edition" next year to help sales. Since all of the Z's are already 427's, the "Special Editions" amount to little more than some exterior and interior cosmetics for a substantial surcharge. If they ever build a "Special Edition" Z that really has substantive changes (not likely due to GM's history here) I would seriously consider one.

Actually Chevy will build 427 of the cars for the North American market and another 78 for everyone else, for a total run of 505
