Another Paddle Shift thread.. Why the big demand?

Are they truely that cool!? I tested out a C6 vert with the paddle shift, sure its cool to pretend to be a race car driver at times, but really............... I guess I dont see where the hype is coming from!??

i'd say 2/3s of all the 06 vettes i see for sale have the paddle shift option! I've never liked automatics in sports cars.. They're too un predictible. I've had first had expirence with it, but I guess i'm not sold on it yet...
