Any update on tires for the stock Z wheels?

The run flats on my Z06 are due to be replaced soon, and there's no a lot of traction if the temperature is less than 85 degrees outside. When I first got the car it was summer time so I'm not sure if it was weather or new tires or both that were stickier when I first got the car.

Hoosier racing slicks would stick but I want tires that will last more than a month.

tirerack.com is probably one of the best sources of new tire availability info...good luck.

Re: Any update on tires for the stock Z wheels?

I'm in the same boat as you. I did some research, and basically there are 2 types: runflats or non-runflats. If you want to stay with runflats, there are 2 choices: OEM Goodyears (excellent choice by the way), or Michelin ZP. If you want more traction than the runflats offer, then you're looking at Michelin Pilot Sport, Michelin Pilot Sport 2, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup (80 treadwear, racelike rubber), or the Nitto Invos.

If you don't mind the risk of getting a flat tire, and are after maximun traction, the Cups are the way to go.

Good luck,
