I have been standing off a bit on the forum, waiting for my Z06 to be delivered (THought to be April 08 but I got an early Christmas present!), but finally picked up my new Z06, '08 on Wednesday.
And guess what, on Saturday I moved my family to a new apartment in Geneva, on Monday I managed to stupidly reverse my Golf R32 with the door open (duh) into the garage wall, so I am now using the Z06 every day until the Golf is fixed, and we have had a week of torrential rain and 6°C air temperature.
So it is dirty, in the rain and being used every day. I am LOVING IT.
What a car, it felt simply "right" the moment I got in it. No problems in town, people seem to respect it and even let me slip into traffic lines in front of them, unheard of in Geneva!
Even had some fun on a country road, just using the torque, to test the rear end. It really is a very well balanced car. I am hugely pleased with it, and seriously thinking of getting rid of the Golf for a 4x4 crossover for space and really bad weather.
I will take a picture later today to show you what it is like dirty and wet, but even the garage said he had yet to see an Atomic Orange with Senna interior Wrap and that this is the only second '08 Z06 in Switzerland! And the first with this finish.
I am now planning some Corvette courses for spring and a long weekend to do the Stelvio Pass in Summer.
Boy it is good to be able to get some tangible evidence like this of hard work sometimes.

Nigel Mansell Correct, and my first Z06 on its way. Correction 21.11.2007, arrived! In torrential rain to boot.
Congratulations ... another C6Z representing in Europe! ...
Good post! ... I was waiting for it, having noticed the slight mod to your sig in a previous post
You have some great roads on which to leg it out!

Leman, congrats on the new Z, it is quite a machine. As someone who daily drives his 2001 Z (120,000 miles on it) I can tell you that it is a great daily driver.
I love the new tag line used in the Cadilac ads, "when you turn your car on, does it return the favor...", and the Z sure does.
Congratulations on the new ride! Post up some pics when you get a chance.
We love them dirty & wet (cars too)

Great and yes we would live to see pics of your new Z and the countryside/cites there.
Two weeks of driving the Z06 on long hauls to Zurich and Berne from Geneva. and WOW. It is fantastic. You are absolutely correct mdickie, what I love is the "purr" it makes between shifts and the bark when opening up. I am keeping revs down to max 4000 until I am am satisfied it is bedded in. (Now at 1000 KMS). But yes it does bark.... Strange, but local Porsche owners are keeping a low profile around me at the moment.. LOL
The photo was taken two days after I had gotten her after the rain. This weekend the weather is going to be really bad, below zero snow and freezing rain, warming up on Monday. So I am back to my R32.
I am still juggling garages for the moment, so what do you guys think about out door covers. If well waxed should I or should I not use one when the weather is cold outside?
I will post some photos of the region here in my "travels", but on my own site as the forum is limited for images size.
I also filled the tyres with Nitrogen, to good effect. Much better temperature pressure stability.
