I have a build date of the week of May 1. I was emailed that I would be notified what day my Z06 would be on the line. I was called this morning (April 25) and advised by Kevin he would not be doing the build tour anymore. He said to call the Museum because they would be doing the build tour starting May 1. I called and was advised it would now cost $350.

I wonder if it is less if you get Museum delivery also!

That's a shame. Kevin was very gracious and knowledgable, although he typically could only do two tours a day. Nothing against the museum folks, they are great too, however, Kevin works at the plant and is aware of a great deal more information on the car and it's production. Not to mention....It was FREE.
Kevin, you will be missed! thanks for your dedication to helping out all us vette folks fulfill our dreams! The NCM will have some BIG shoes to fill. Good luck NCM.

Yeah, its true. Wil Cooksey announced it in his 9am seminar Saturday.
Spent September 30 in the plant with none other than Norman, watching our Z's being built. I guess all good things must pass. Kevin is a great guy, we can only hope that he takes the retirement package, then goes to work for the NCM giving his same great tours.
You get to follow your car along the line and witness the creation. You get to start it up and drive it off the line. I was scheduled to do it free with Kevin on May 5. But effective May 1, NCM takes over and it now cost $350. I just hope they do as good a job as Kevin did. You can bring up to 3 people with you. My wife, daughter and son in law will be taking it with me.
When a company tries to squeeze "easy" money from who they see as their "well healed clients" by nickel and diming them, you know the folks in charge are getting desperate.
Exactly how many tours do they do a year? 300 or 400 maybe?
And at $350 a pop that's $140,000 - hardly a drop for what ails GM - unless all that money goes to the museum, in which case it's kind or sort of justified.
