My business partner just purchased the E63 AMG. What a nice ride! I took it to Philadelphia from Virginia as a favor to him and it certainly is a great travelling vehicle. Nevertheless, I can see why you elect to drive the Z more often.
I just figured out that you have 1012 HP and 13 speeds combined with your 2 vehicles.
Have a great Holiday.

Thanks. The oil cooler really works. At what temperature do you feel you can rev to high rpms? I used to think minimum 180 degrees, but now I guess about 150. Took it out yesterday morning before turkey and managed to get temp into low 180's, but not until I hit mid 3 figures a couple of times. In matter of a few miles cruising, temp comes right back down. The C6 seems to be a street legal race car just about ready to run on the track with few changes.

Daily Driver

I drive my Z06 to my office everyday. 3.4 miles there and 3.4 miles back. Saturday most of the time it sits in the garage and on Sunday I have early morning meetings and drive it and the rest of the family comes and meet me at church in our H2.

That's about my commute (4 - 5 miles). (although twice a week I pick up and drop off my baby about 30 miles out).

I live a lot closer to work than I did when I bought my first Z (02 with 62K miles on it). I'm hoping the shorter commute won't rack up all of the miles my old one did so quickly.

After having both a C5 z06 and a C6 z06 I can say that the
c6 makes a better DD. The number one reason is the shorter overhang which means alot less scraping in driveways, etc. Also the electronic entry/exit mechanisms make it so easy to walk up get in and start or walk away and lock automatically. Other than the fact that it costs much more I think it makes a much better DD.

My daily is a 1999 Cadillac Deville Concours with Moonroof, Bose, Heated Seats, CD changer, etc.. it is a nice and cheap inexpensive means of transport when I don't want to get the nice cars dirty

I drive mine 70 miles a day, 4 days a week, up and down twisty canyon/mountain roads. What a blast!!! Had an 02 Z06 before and drove that one daily as well. When it rains, I drive my other fun car, an 06 MX-5 with the Sports suspension package.

I LOVE the "no key" to unlock or start. Everyone I show it off to I treat it like a magic trick.

(Nothing up my sleeve, presto!)

One question though, does it lock when I walk more than three feet away?

You need to elect that setting on your DIC. It's your choice.

Its an amazing time to live in. Drive a 500+ horsepower car to work every day reliably and get better fuel mileage than most people's suv's and many sedans.
