First ever for NASCAR-Z06 Pace Car
GM announced that a specially painted and outfitted C6 Z06 Vette will pace this weekend's NASCAR race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Don't have pics yet, but from the ones I saw, it's awesome!

Wonder what "specially outfitted" means? Is it just the usual strobes and light rack and such, or is some better mods?

Think the roof will fly off?
I think "specially outfitted" means sheet metal screws and Nascar duct tape holding the roof on..LOL

I wonder how a Z06 would do in the actual race.
Clearly F1 cars are in a league *way* above a Z06, but maybe NASCAR is a league just a little above a Z06. Top speeds aren't all that different, and the NASCAR cars have a bit of a power to weight advantage, but the Z06 may be more aerodynamic (not sure).
I say let that sucker race and see how it does

Sorry to mis-lead you..."specially outfitted" was my choice of words to describe the usual pace car additions: roof mounted strobe light, special 4 way flashers, racing harness, etc."
Anyone here going to the Brickyard 400? If so, try to get some pics.

And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
