Greetings Just joined you guys, and hope to learn a lot.
Here's how I ended up here. I've have a '75 Vette that I've had for 17 years, and have been getting Corvette Fever Magazine for years. Two months ago I receive the issue with the guy in it that takes a bone stock 06 ZO6 (with drag radials) and turns a 10.85@129mph (Sorry originally posted 12.85). That did it, said to my self " I have got to have one of those", and the search began. Every 06 red one I found on the internet was sold (has to match the 75). G/F suggested E-Bay, and I figured, ah what the hell. And there it was in Plano Texas @ a Porsche Dealership,'07 with 3K miles. I think I got a pretty good deal-$68.5K?
I've had it a month and still can't get the stupid grin off my face
That issue of Corvette Fever was expensive,but this thing is "bad to the bone"

Thanks, and ooops my mistake, it was certified 10.85 time slip. Just got this months issue and he does 11.2 with stock tires, and comparing the dr's. Worth the read, he's got some good tips on how to achieve such times with driving technique

Thats Ranger. Holds the 1/4 mile record for stock C5 & C6 Z06's. He can launch & shift better than any I have met, and we race most of the country.

He has a several issue series on the "driver mod". Or how to launch & drive these cars to the utmost performance.

Hey Guys,
Thanks, been out of town with no e-mail, went to Fantasy Fest in Key West with G/F Wed. night and just got back. As usual it makes Mardi Gras look like a church social (we go every year,almost). Usually we fly, because driving is such a PITA and after 4 hours my back and a** feel like I've been run over by a bus.
But, been dying to take the new ride on the first road trip. All I can say is I felt better getting out of it after 4 hours each way than when I got in.
What a pleasure to drive, and I'm sure some of the"newness" will wear off but damn--- it's hard to discribe. And getting stuck in traffic 30 minutes each way -- 400 miles total -- Av.26.8 mpg, I'm a happy boy.
And of course passing is not much of a problem
