Key Fob, Passenger door, and angry girlfriend...

Well guys, I think a few of you will find amusement in this one. I have been playing with the settings, and think I have everything set right - But the girlfriend can never get the door to unlock for her before I get in the car! She may be a little techno challenged at times, but no one else seems to have this problem. And, she is not liking the door situation.

She has to wait for me to open my door (or get hers) before it will let her open her door. She may be a little over zeallous in reaching for the handle before I get to the door on the other side... which may cause the door to stay locked. But no one else has this issue getting into my car.

Do I change settings on the car, or attempt to train the girl better?? Any advice on what to do/not to do when approaching the car?

I have the same problem if your talking about the c6z. I have to be right next to the driver door for her to able to pop her side.

Never let electrical engineers design a mechanical device. Dave Hill should be ashamed.

I think you'll have better luck reprogramming the car. Men in a relationship expect that nothing will change while Women expect everything will change.

This simple difference explains or has a direct influence on the 50% of the stress in life.

Just hit the unlock button on your key fob twice before you get to the car. That way both sides are unlocked. The key fob is designed for security. When you walk up to the car, it only unlocks the drivers side. If you have it programmed so, it will allow the passenger to get in after you get in the car or when the car senses the fob is in the drivers seat. Again, just hit the unlock button twice and everyone will be happy. Another benefit is that you get to see all your pretty lights come on as you walk up to the car.

I don't know, of course, what generation you other forum gents are from, but by my generation feminism has essentially eroded the need/benefit for politeness extended to the fairer sex to the street reputation of the stock GT-R in about a year.

I have really gotten use to not even touching the fob - just keeping it in the pocket. I set it so that both doors unlock when I approach, but again - she is eager on the handle.
